Coincidences, I Think

20 years ago, when I had a personal fitness training facility in California, I used to mentally picture new clients coming to me.

I’d imagine the phone ringing with new prospects.

I’d picture setting an appointment with the person who called. And I’d see the prospect turning into a customer.

Afterward, an amazing series of “coincidences” would take place.

People who’d driven by my gym for months would suddenly drop by. Or they’d be referred to me. Or they’d see my ad for the first time.

Whenever this happened I would be ecstatic. My excitement would be off the charts.

And in the midst of my emotional high, I would do one thing that would cause the good I had just attracted to scatter like scared deer.

What was that one thing?

It’s something you’re probably doing as well. And once you discover what it is, and stop doing it – your winning ways will multiply many times over. Mine sure did.

Read all about this classic and all-too-common mistake in Chapter 6 of my new book, Expect to Win – Hate to Lose.

Just so you know, this mistake I wrote about, is not my opinion or my theory. It’s been scientifically tested since 1933 – and every time two groups were tested, the group who always comes out on top is the group who did the OPPOSITE of what I was doing when things went wrong.

Make a decision, my friend. Decide which group you’d rather play ball with. Those who win – or those who lose.

Best,

Matt Furey
