6 New Books in 2008

6 New Books in 2008

Earlier this year I set a goal to have three new

books written and published this year. I now

realize this goal was far too wimpy – so

yesterday I upgraded to six.

Although I’m not ready to reveal the titles of each

of these books just yet – I will tell you they run the

gamut from physical fitness to self-realization/

development to wrestling to Internet marketing.

Two – and quite possibly three of the six will be

ready by May.

Anyway, that’s the latest from Furey Central.

What about YOU.

Are you moving forward in 2008 – setting goals for

yourself – and making sure you fulfill them.

If not, consider this: The average person watches

1669 hours of television per year. Divide this by

24 and you have 69.54 days spent before the

idiot box.

Or, put another way, the average person spends

4.57 hours per day watching other people who

are achieving their goals.

Don’t see what I’m saying about watching t.v as

100 percent wrong. Some television is a good

thing – me thinks. At the same time, 4,57 hours

a day is out of control. And that is the “average.”

Some people spend 8-10 or more hours per day

before the box.

Today my son has a day off from school. He grabbed

the control and turned on the t.v. around 8 a.m. I

immediately let him know he was not going to spend

the whole day before the set. I told him to turn it off.

He did.

At the end of today he’s going to be able to say he

accomplished something.

When you watch tee-vee – what can you say you

accomplished.

All of this is important because the masses will tell you

they are busy, that they don’t have time to workout,

to pursue a new career, to learn a foreign language,

to read, and so on.

As for myself, I rarely have time to watch tee-vee. I

rarely have time to read the newspapers. I rarely have

any idea whatsoever about what is going on in the

“world.”

I am continually looking at what I’ve gotten done lately.

Are you.

The greatest joy in life comes from creating something

new; bringing something into being that didn’t exist

before.

I’ve done a fair amount of creating over the last 12 years –

but there is so much more to do. And I’m “on it.”

Take time to think about what you’d like to create in this

lifetime. Put it in writing – then get started doing it.
