Q n A with da Zen Master

A lot of questions to cover today. Let me dive

right in:

Matt,

I’m a police officer and have followed your programs

for a number of years. Although I haven’t felt the need

to touch a weight for a very long time, my 14 year old

son has the bug, and is well on his way to becoming a

gym rat. He also has a background in martial arts and

his older Chinese friends have him concerned that this

will stunt his growth. I know that you began with weights

early in life and I’m curious what your opinion is on this

matter.

Thanks,

Lt. R.W.

MJF: Lt., great question. First, weight training does not

stunt your growth. So no worries there. If your son really

wants to train with weights, I suggest you let him do so –

but with direction from you. At the same time I would have

him do Combat Conditioning – and challenge him and his

buddies from time to time so they realize that the weights

aren’t hitting all the functional muscles he will need for sports.

Have him do Hindu pushups, bridging, pullups, Hindu squats,

handstand pushups and more. Most importantly, work on his

mind with goals and proper mental pictures – that’s where the

real power comes from. I believe my Zero Resistance Living

System – http://psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html will

help immensely.

Matthew,

The other day you mentioned not to take fish oil unless it

has a carmelized color coating. You also mentioned that

you’ll be telling us about a supplement in the near future

that is far better than fish oil. Are you talking about Krill

oil.

J.B.

MJF:No, it’s not Krill oil. Something far better. In fact, when

compared with fish oil is so much more powerful and potent

it isn’t even funny. I’m not going to say anymore on this one

right now as I plan to carry this product myself. Fish oil was

the best thing going four years ago – but it’s not now. It’s

still good for you – so long as it is of the highest pharma-

ceutical grade. The carmelized color test is a simple way

anyone can judge whether or not it might have gotten

contaminated by ultra violet light. A couple people wrote

me to comment on the “fishy burp” taste. They said they

solve this by freezing the fish oil before they take it. That’s

fine – but totally unnecessary. A better idea is to make sure

you’re taking a grade where you don’t have to do that.

What I have for you in the near future is much more bioactive

than fish oil, krill oil and so on. And you won’t have to take

much of it to easily exceed the value of fish oil. Instead of

popping 12 or 18 “horse-sized” capsules per day, you’ll take

two teeny-tiny capsules in the morning and two later in the

day. That’s it. For the first 4-6 weeks. After that you can cut

back to two capsules per day and still blow fish oil and the

other oils out of the water.

Remember, a few years back I began talking about a few

different types of berries that are more potent than any

other type of berry in terms of their anti-oxidant and

anti-viral value. No one had heard of these berries

other than me – and I heard about them from

friends, Dave Copeland and Dave Ellis, who know

more about REAL nutrition for your body than anyone

I have ever met. That’s why they are advisors to many

collegiate and professional sports teams.

I’ll also have a totally unique berry formulation very

soon – and this will be of immense value to you –

especially when the flu season begins.

Matt,

I had a question about Vitamin C. I’m a bit confused as

I’ve heard it’s not good for your body if you take it in tablet

form but it is good for you if you get it as part of the food

you eat. What is your opinion.

E.F.

MJF: Another superb question. Vitamin C is touted as an

anti-oxidant. This means it supposedly travels through

your body and nukes free radicals. And this is true – IF

you get your vitamin C from a food – not an isolate.

Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant when it’s sitting in a petri

dish in a lab. But as soon as you put it in the body it

becomes a Pro-Oxidant – meaning it causes more

free radical damage. The opposite of what it is supposed

to do.

Again, I have to thank Dave Copeland and Dave Ellis

for pointing these things out to me. I quit taking any

supplement with Vitamin C over a year ago – and there’s no

doubt it has helped. I’m 44 years old – but people who

meet me in person believe I’m in my early 30’s. I owe

this to my exercise program – especially

the Dao Zou program – http://mattfurey.com/dao_zou.html

as well as the oils I’m taking along with the berries.

If you feel you must take Vitamin C in tablet form – I’ll tell

you what I was advised. Never take more than 50 mg per

day in tablet form, otherwise you’re doing great harm to

your body.

Those who are members of the Matt Furey Inner Circle will

be getting a ton more information on these matters. I’m

even thinking of adding a monthly teleseminar with Dave

and Dave wherein we can answer all your nutritional

questions. Let me know if this is to your liking. And make

sure you’re in the MFIC. If you’re not yet – then go to

http://mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

Well, my friend, that’s all for now.
