I wanted to give you a “heads up” on what is
happening with me. As you know, a short time ago I reverted
back to my given name at birth, Matthew – instead of going by
the more familiar “Matt.”
If you think the simple adding of three letters to your name
doesn’t make a difference, then I guess you’d love to spy
on some of the email I’ve gotten. One of my best friends
almost had a stroke, he was so upset. He essentially let
me know that this is the worst mistake of my life and it
will destroy my business.
In reply I said, “I will remind you of this statement when
we’re sitting in a penthouse suite overlooking the Big Apple
and I’m telling you about all the marvelous successes that
have come about by NOT listening to your advice.”
This set up another round of fire between us and eventually
we agreed to focus on what is most important between us –
and that isn’t the adding of “hew” to the name “Matt.”
Over the last couple weeks I have been working on finishing
a NEW book – this one not like anything I have ever written,
except the stories – but even they are far, far different than
most of what I tell you in my daily emails.
If you like my daily emails – and if you think I tell a good
story in them – well then, you WILL be in for an incredible
surprise when this book findally comes out.
At present I am cranking between 2,000 and 4000 words
per day. And what is pouring out of me will transcend anything
I have ever written. This book will go out and change millions of
lives all over the world. It will be translated into almost every
language ever written – if not every.
It will blast through peoples’ fears, destroy their worries and open
them to a life not imagined in “common hours.” This book will not be
like anything you have ever read before. It will quite literally rip
your heart right from your chest.
It will be like a punch through every limiting belief you hold as
sacred.
It will break you down and rebuild you faster than a trip to the shrink
or the taking of prozac.
It will shock you, astonish you and bend your ear toward the REAL me
people meet when they see me in person, look into my eyes and
shake my hand.
And so, because I am putting the grand majority of my energy into
finishing this book, I have not been sending emails as regularly as
I once did. From what I can see of the future, this will probably not
change once this book comes out because I will be in great demand
throughout the world as a speaker and guest on talk shows and such –
something I have always previously refused to do.
I will do my best to be in contact with you as often as possible – but
right now it will probably be 2-4 times a week.
I will keep you abreast of this new book and the date when it will be
introduced to the market place. At present I have a number of publishers
scrambling to place a bid on this puppy. One of the main things being
discussed is how they are not allowed to tamper with the book, making
edits that I do not approve. This means that the book will have to be
printed the way I wrote it and intended the message to be delivered.
Anyway, that’s about it for now.
