Titanium Rod Doesn’t Stop CA Man

Saturday, February 26th, 2011

Here’s an email from a 27-year old man who survived a brutal fall several years ago. He didn’t know whether he could follow my new program due to the rod and pins in his legs. Well, now he knows. Read his comments below:

Matt,

I wanted to give you an update of my progress from your recent program. I haven’t changed my diet that much and wanted to just get in better shape and try something different. I gave your program The Fastest Humanly Possible To Burn Fat a shot and I’m telling you man it is freaking awesome (excuse the language I’m excited about it). So far my results have been nothing short of surreal, not amazing, surreal.

You may not remember much about me but I have a titanium rod in my left leg with 8 pins in it and 2 pins in my left ankle from a major injury back in ’05. My legs haven’t been the same since so I can’t do plyometrics very much and jogging just kills my ankles.

With The Fastest Humanly Possible To Burn Fat on the other hand it just makes my body and more specifically my legs that much better for some reason and my ankles don’t hurt, my shins don’t feel terrible and my knees feel incredible.

This type of training has done wonders for me and it just keeps getting better. I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart and I hope one day I get to talk to you personally. I understand you’re an extremely busy man and might not even read this email at all not just its entirety. I pray this gets to you and have the time to read it.

Again thank you and keep doing what you’re doing.

Yours Truly,

Benjamin Bergman
Santa Cruz, CA

MJF: Hi Benjamin. Yes, I remember you and look forward to speaking with you sometime in the future. Thanks so much for sending this report to me on how The Fastest Humanly Possible To Burn Fat is working for you. It’s truly awesome to see your continued perseverance and progress. Make sure you check out the road leading up to Chaminade. That’s the one I trained on in order to win the world title in Beijing. If I ever go back to your neck of the woods, that’s the first place I’ll visit.

Order The Fastest Humanly Possible To Burn Fat today. It’ll change your body so fast you’ll be in awe.

Unlock Your Muscles

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

It’s funny to watch people “try” to stretch. And how they do it all wrong.

Before getting started, for example, you’ll see the familiar frown etched upon the face. This is the first indicator that the “stretchee” doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Then you’ll see the breathing stop. This is the second indicator that the stretchee is clueless. Most people stretch like they’re afraid something is going to break or tear. When this fear circumnavigates the brain, breathing comes to a halt. As if this will help.

It won’t.

After this the stretchee locks his muscles and refuses to give them a command that will let them unwind. This third indicator is how the muscles freeze. You want them to relax and let go – but your frown, lack of proper breathing and emotional state cause you to accidentally send the wrong message to your central nervous system. So despite trying to gain flexibility, you get tighter.

I teach how to correct all this in great detail in my Combat Stretching course. In the promo for the course I promise that you can double your flexibility in one evening. The truth is this: You can double it in 20 to 30 minutes if you follow what I teach.

While in Tokyo I met with an American who told me how he didn’t believe it was possible to double his flexibility at all, much less in one evening. Yet, when he followed the program, he was shocked at how quickly the improvements came.

One of the drawbacks, or selling features (depending on your point of view) of the Combat Stretching series, is my use of colorful language throughout. There have been a few people who’ve taken offense at my carefree use of the English language – especially because they bought the series to listen to it with their young kids. If this is the case for you as well – and you don’t want to blame me for your child’s swearing habit – then it’s probably better to not get this series. Probably also a good idea to not let your child out of the house.

I learned my swearing back in Iowa, where I’m from. I’ve curbed the habit during almost all of my products, but Combat Stretching, for whatever reason, was a series in which I unlocked more than a few tight muscles. I’ve often thought of coming out with a ‘G’ version of the same program, but always decide against it at the last moment. In the Book of Furey, there’s a time and place for all forms of language – even that which is off-color.

So you know, my swearing habit is not quite a bad as General George S. Patton’s – you can’t go beyond possibility, me thinks. And I think if you keep this in perspective when viewing the DVDs, then you’ll find a way to forgive me for the few times where I let ‘er rip.

Anyway, remember the three keys I gave you in this tip when you have the program playing in your home or office.

Unlock those tight muscles. Inhale – exhale and …

Rise Up!

“Old Man at 17” 10x’s Flexibility in One Workout

Friday, February 18th, 2011

Yesterday I received an email from a very happy user of my Combat Stretching product. Here is what he wrote:

Dear Matt,

I’m 19 years old, and a neck injury during my junior year of high school ended my wrestling career and started a new chapter in my life of daily pain. At the ripe old age of 17 I was walking and feeling like an old man–in the beginning I literally spent a couple of months getting weird stares because my head was completely sideways, resting on one shoulder or the other, because it was just too painful to hold up. It was more than a year after my injury before I would even lean my head back to look up, for sheer fear of what would happen every time I started to.

I first saw your ad for Combat Stretching about a year ago after my brother told me about your website and fitness books. When I saw “double your flexibility in one evening,” I really thought you were full of crap.

Now it’s a year later, and after seeing that same brother use Gama Fitness (and trying it out for myself) I realized that you knew what the hell you were talking about.

When my Combat Stretching DVDs came I was blown away (both by seeing how flexible a big guy like you can be, and by seeing my amazing results after only minutes of stretching).

Despite my background in wrestling, I have never been flexible in any real sense, because I was never taught the right things to do (and i was especially inflexible after my injury–a reverse cervical curve will do that to you). However, after just a few minutes of the isometric stretches, I could touch my nose to my thigh in the hamstring stretch, and touch my nose to the floor in the bridge.

These are two things I really never thought I would ever be able to do before I got your program, but even with the program I expected it to take a few MONTHS if not a couple of years.

It happened in ONE night.

After one night, I’m not twice as flexible, I’m ten times as flexible as I used to be.

After my injury I felt like I had a vital part of my youth taken early from me; my aching neck and shoulders affected me every day, and even sitting or lying down offered me no comfort. Now my once-tight muscles are supple and strong, and I can’t imagine where they’ll go from here.

I’m much stronger, healthier, and more flexible than I was before my injury, and I can’t thank you enough.

Patrick Barrett

M.F.: Patrick, this is wonderful news. I wish you and your brother continued success with all my programs.

Naked Pull-ups and The Lucky Stump

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Well, well, well. My previous email on Naked Pull-ups caused quite a stir.

When I told my son that Johnny Damon does pull-ups in the raw – before every game – he wondered why.

I didn’t have much of an explanation, other than to say it’s a superstition – and baseball players have more of them than all major sports in the world combined.

Last weekend, for example, a kid found a stump in the woods next to the ball fields where an AAU tournament was being played. Being he didn’t have a chair, the kid carried the stump to the fence and set it down so he could sit and watch his younger brother play.

When the boy showed up with his stump, his brother’s team was losing, 3-0. But as soon as he sat on it, the tides turned. The final score was 14-4.

As you might imagine, the kid, his parents and all the other fans gave credit to the “lucky” stump. And when the same team was in the finals and the score was close, the kid’s parents told him to “sit on the stump.”

It must have worked as kid brother’s team rallied once again and whooped their opponent by nine points.

When the game ended, the stump was taken home to be used again and again.

When it comes to luck, I believe in the Chinese saying, “Better to be born lucky than smart.”

I also believe we make our own luck by training in a certain way while picturing the results we intend to make happen.

Over and over I have watched men and women of all ages turn back the tide of bad luck while ringing in a never-ending supply of good.

Take weight loss and fitness as an example. So many people work their butts off doing the wrong routines. And so, in spite of their work ethic, they get nowhere.

Yet, if these people were fortunate enough to be on the right routine – results would begin to flow so quickly they’d feel the same way Johnny Damon does when doing naked pull-ups – or the young kid did when he fetched his lucky stump out of the woods.

Following the routine in The Fastest Way Humanly Possible to Burn Fat will truly astound you. Within one week, you’ll start to see and feel results that you haven’t gotten in months from following other routines.

And your workout won’t take hours. It’ll be over in 15-20 minutes – MAX.

Start following The Fastest Way Humanly Possible to Burn Fat and I’m certain you’ll be just as stunned as your neighbors.

Naked Pullups

Friday, February 11th, 2011

This morning I was reading about MLB star Johnny Damon’s pre-game warmup. It’s one I’ve never heard about before.

Baseball players may have more superstitious quirks and idiosyncrasies than all other athletes combined. Normally, getting into a positive mind set has something to do with the food or the clothes or the music they listen to.

For others it can be the tool they warmup with or the stuff they chew on.

But naked pull-ups? That’s a good one. And now that Damon is a member of the Tampa Bay Rays – I guess the other members of the team get to gawk at or look away from Johnny’s member when he’s doing his tugs before the game.

There’s another ‘something’ that great baseball players do each day to stay lean and fast – even while eating crap food on the road.

I cover this secret in my program The Fastest Way Humanly Possible to Burn Fat. If you follow what I teach you’ll be amazed with the speed the fat start flying and frying off your frame. Even if you’re still eating hot dogs and swilling beer at ball games.

Fat Fight

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

Remember the Scene in Animal House when John Belushi yells “Food Fight!” Well, that’s the idea that I have in mind when I say “Fat Fight.”

In order for an exercise program to be effective in the burning of fat, your body needs to be engaged, at the cellular level, in a fight. This means that long, slow distance cardio and other forms of exercise won’t work.

Why? Because your body doesn’t perceive that a fight is taking place.

And if there’s no fight taking place in your body your central nervous system will not get the message to rebalance, harmonize and put your system in order. Instead, your body will just carry on and carry on and carry on.

There’s a reason why animals in the wild can eat all day and remain lean their entire lives. And it’s not because they do hours of cardio per day.

Animals have a secret of staying fit. Want to know what it is? Then get your hands on my new program The Fastest Way Humanly Possible to Burn Fat.

Unlike any other exercise programs, this fitness program begins working immediately. Within one or two workouts you will see and feel results – even if you haven’t changed your diet one bit.

• Eliminate sugar from your diet.

• Eliminate high fructose corn syrup from your diet.

• Eliminate grains such as corn and wheat.

• Don’t eat after 6pm.

• Increase protein consumption.

• And so on…

Beware the Dangers of Hard Training

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Last December I was at a baseball camp with my son. While watching the action, I helped some of the coaches with various aches and pains they’ve acquired over the years, mostly from pitching. And practically everything I prescribed to help these men comes from my study of Chinese martial arts.

It was amazing to see how beat up some of these coach’s bodies were. You’d think they’d been practicing hard-style martial arts for years because the symptoms of over-use and abuse are practically the same. And I’m not even addressing shoulder or elbow pain. I’m talking mostly about hip and back pain, as well as weak knees, ankles and feet.

When working with two different coaches, one of the first things I asked them to do was sit with their ankles crossed. One of the coaches couldn’t cross his ankles at all. He was so banged up he sat with the heels of his feet at least a foot way from each other. Another coach could cross his ankles slightly, but he couldn’t bring his legs close enough to his body to sit cross legged.

In both cases, I suggested some joint mobility exercises that I teach in Combat Stretching. After doing one set of ten rotations in each direction, both coaches started to feel improvement. The ice in their bodies was beginning to thaw. And all they needed was a simple exercise or two to get the ball rolling.

The above brings me to a very important point about physical training. In the western world, almost all training for sports and martial arts is “hard style.” And this type of training is necessary to get to the top in most activities. At the same time, this type of training is also destructive to your body and your health, unless it is counter-balanced with a type of training that is more internal.

If an athlete only practices “hard style” and has no internal training regimen, over time, his or her body gets destroyed. And no, I am not exaggerating.

I don’t care who the athlete is or how tough he is, if he only knows how to go at sports, martial arts or fitness training as fast and hard as he can, at some point in the future, he’ll be a high-percentage candidate for the surgeon’s table. And the surgery won’t be a simple procedure like removing a bit of torn cartilage. It’ll be more like hip, shoulder or knee replacement.

Think I’m kidding? Well, let me tell you that at least three of my former coaches had hips or knees replaced. Another slept in traction due to injuries to his neck and back. One even bragged about being 67% disabled, yet he was still going out on the mat to train.

In Chinese martial arts, in particular the internal arts, while one objective is the acquisition of skill, another objective is to do no harm to yourself while acquiring your skill, to recover fully from one day to the next so you can grow in power.

How do you achieve both objectives?

Well, in the western world, when you hear chatter about “recovery” after hard training, the very people who give such advice are almost completely ignorant about what to do in order to renew their energy.

If you press for further guidance your answer will most likely be to “get plenty of sleep.” Or to take a day off. Or to only train hard a couple days a week.

Perhaps you’ll be advised to take various supplements, including amino acids, protein powders, antioxidants, fish oils and so on.

In my experience, none of the above helps you to fully recover from the rigors of hard training. And based on what happened to so many of my friends and coaches, who were getting plenty of sleep – it didn’t help them much, either.

Now, you might think that my program on Combat Stretching is what I’m going to suggest as the answer to recovery. Wrong again. Although Combat Stretching helps loosen tight, painful joints and gives you a boost in the recovery process, it still doesn’t hold a candle to what I plan to reveal in a seminar next month.

It’ll be a 2-day event, held in Tampa, Florida, and available to a maximum of 36 people.

If you’d like further information on this seminar, drop me a line and we’ll be in touch.

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. The recovery process I’ll be teaching eliminates aches, pains and, in many cases, illnesses. It’s helped me continue to grow in strength, balance, flexibility and speed – even as I approach my 5th decade. How’d you like some of that? Drop me a line to find out more.
