Burns Fat Faster Than Cardio

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Had a good question from a reader yesterday and I’m

going to cover it now.

Matt,

I have a question regarding Combat Conditioning in regards to

fat loss. We are always told that to burn fat you need cardio

and more importantly, you need cardio that maintains a steady

elevated heart rate for at least a half hour.

Now, it seems to me that a rank beginner to the CC routine who

isnt in the best of shape would probably have a 15-20, maybe

even 25 mintute routine. My question is, could one forego a

separate cardio routine and soley rely on CC for fat loss.

I ask because I dont own a bicycle, I dont have access to a pool,

and its currently too cold to be swimming in the ocean where I live

(NJ). My one option for cardio at the moment is either walking (which

I find boring), or jogging (which I love but which aggravates my shin

splints). So, I have a very vested interest in wondering whether or not

CC is not only viable for creating lean muscle, but also for far loss.

After all, it does no good to have lean muscles if you cant see them

underneath the blubber.

Thank you in advance for any insights or advice that you can give.

Sincerely,

S.D.

M.F. S.D, so glad you asked these questions. To answer, let me

begin by talking about some of my relatives – those Fure-cats

that come in various shapes and sizes and generally live outdoors.

Yes, I’m talking about cheetahs, lions, tigers, panthers, leopards,

and so on.

Last time I checked, all the cats listed above were in pretty fine

shape. They are fast as lightning. They are the world’s greatest

killing machines. They are flexible, strong and powerful. And

they don’t do ANY LSD (long slow distance) cardio.

On the other hand, our friendly antelope, does mucho cardio.

He’s also strong and fast – and lean. Even so, I wouldn’t bet

on him surviving a cage match with any of the cats mentioned

earlier.

Other than hard sprints, climbing and stretching – cats don’t

do much to maintain their lean, lithe physiques. In fact, they

don’t need to sprint very often to stay lean and powerful. One

good burst a day is usually enough.

There’s something to learn from this, me thinks.

Yes, you can burn fat by doing long-distance cardio. But you

can burn fat faster with total body calisthenics, hill sprints,

dynamic deep breathing, and so on.

Time and again members of the Furey Faithful report inches

of blubber dropping off their bodies – and this was from a

few minutes a day of Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs.

Not the 20 to 25 minute routines you envisioned.

In the beginning, most beginners are unable to do more than

3 or 4 minutes of my program. Most people, even those who

can squats several hundred pounds, cannot do more than

40 straight Hindu squats. The same goes for Hindu pushups.

Even seasoned exercise fanatics often stop at 25. As for the

bridge, if you can hold for a minute in the beginning, you’re

an exception to the rule.

What I have just outlined will take you approximately 3-4 minutes

when you begin. Once you get into great shape, the workout may

go 20-30 minutes, or longer, if you so desire. But make no mistake

about this: It is NOT how LONG you train – it is WHAT you do WHEN

you train.

Give the Royal Court in Combat Conditioning and the Magnificent

Seven in Combat Abs a whirl – and you’ll soon have the understanding

of these truths. On the other hand, if you sit on the couch or at the

computer, considering, wondering and pondering, you’ll gain nothing.

The rewards in life go to those who DO – not to those who speculate.

I suggest you get involved in the Matt Furey Inner Circle because all

the books I’ve just mentioned come free – and because each month

you’ll receive a newsletter and CD that gives you a routine to follow

Your Imagination Creates

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

From my journal:

Creative imagination means we can create when we

imagine. To imagine is one thing. To create when

we imagine is yet another. One opens the door to

your subconscious mind – the other allows you to

receive inspiration directly from the Infinite.

Matthew Furey

Notes: Yes, you can learn to harness the Power of

your Creative Imagination. The Zero Resistance Living

System will show you how. Lose your fears – drop your

resistance and claim the life you really want. Go to

The First MasterMind Alliance

Friday, October 26th, 2007

“The Mastermind may be defined as: ‘Coordination of

knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between

two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.’ ”

Napoleon Hill – from original and unabridged Think and Grow Rich

I often tell my students that the first MasterMind alliance begins in the

home. It is between husband and wife. If you don’t have harmonious

cooperation from your spouse, it will be much more difficult for you

to become successful.

When it comes to the subject of business and finances, my wife and

I share the same values and beliefs. Hence, we never fight about

muney. And when we did – back in the distant past – we never

had any.

It wasn’t until BOTH of us aligned ourselves harmoniously on the

subject that our financial lives changed.

It is very helpful to be mentored by someone who has already

achieved success in his chosen field. But it is NOT necessary

that everyone who learns from the teacher be at the same

level of success.

When put into a group of like-minded people who share a

common aim, people will rise to higher levels of success than

ever before – provided they work together in harmony.

Power plays, bigshot-itis, attitudes of “I’m better than YOU”

are not examples of working in harmony with others.

Not only that, but success is not to be measured only in terms

of one’s finances. Those who measure success by muney alone

are sad.

Last week, in my seminar and coaching programs, I repeatedly

stated that “happiness” is the number one goal in life. And if all

your thoughts and aims are directed toward happiness, this will

lead to far more success than you can currently imagine.

Yet, most people have it backwards. They think the thing they

are pursuing is going to bring them happiness. It cannot.

The person who accumulates a fortune but has no happiness

is a spiritual and psychological pauper. This is why it is

important to be mentored by those who are happy – not just

those who have accumulated fortunes.

This year has been an interesting one. It’s been a year in which

I’ve watched people whose primary objective has nothing to do

with happiness or peace of mind – fall out of my life.

In each and every case, I have looked at the people who have

departed, and I see faces racked with pain. I see people who

desperately want the thing they’re chasing to bring them joy

– but it can’t.

Happiness doesn’t come from the outside-in – it comes from

the inside-out.

This past Monday, in the Psycho-Cybernetics coaching group,

I saw dozens of men and women drop decades of emotional

anguish. I saw smiles and laughter restored to those who suffered

wounds long ago. I saw people come to understand that you don’t

even need a reason for happiness. You have it because you desire it –

no other reason is necessary.

I also saw two people enter the room and leave with no visible

change. Perhaps a seed was planted internally and it needs time

to grow. I cannot say for sure.

Some people resist the very thing that is designed to give them

all they’ve ever wanted.

In my opening remarks I said:

“If your primary goal in life is only about muney, then you will be

repelled by what I have to say – and who I am. If your goal is

happiness, you’ll stick around because you’re getting what you

want. And strangely enough, the happier you are – the easier it

will be for you to attract muney.”

Six Pack Abs on a 72-Year Old

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Just received the following comments from a 72-year old and

want to share them with you. My unabridged reply to folow:

Matt,

Let me add my two cents on the Five Second Abs. How about

NO second Abs.

I’m seventy one (+) and bought both ‘Conditioning’ and ‘Abs’ books.

I found that while doing Hindu pushups I visualize a needle coming

up from the floor while in the up position. To keep from getting painfully

stuck, I pull in my abs as hard as I can for a second. I have a sixpack

for the first time in my life including when I wrestled in high school and

when I went through Marine Corps boot camp at Perris Island.

By the way; after about a month of one day a week squats and pushups

I got up to 36 pushups and 200 squats before changing to daily workouts

of 15 pushups and 30 squats. To add a little strength I then do 3 sets of

single leg half squats and three sets of 8 pullups or chins.

You definitely know what you are talking about.

Regards,

Fred Romig

M.F.: Fred, thanks so much for letting me know about this. You’ve just given

away another one of my secrets – one that is usually only taught at my

annual seminar. Glad to hear of your success. There is much more in

store for you. Thanks for being an example, not only to people in your

age bracket – but frankly, for everyone.

So there you have it, my friend. Be sure to get on the program that Fred

is following by going to http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html as

well as http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

Kick Butt – Take Names,

Matt Furey

P.S. To appreciate just how spectacular the results are that Fred has gotten,

you need only look around at the average 30 year old. Most have bodies that

are ready for the scrap heap. The good news is that they can become studly

and studettely again with my programs. KATN.

How to Eliminate Knee Pain Without Surgery

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

When you take a look around at most athletes – as well

as most people, you’ll find that they either have chronic

knee pain, believe they’ll need surgery in the future – or

have already had it – at least once.

In fact, as a young collegiate wrestler we often joked that

you never want to go see an orthopedic surgeon – because,

well …. he’ll do surgery on you.

No kidding.

Well, imagine that you found a surgeon who was the opposite.

He wanted to see you go without surgery.

A few years back I met the surgeon’s surgeon – Dr. Bill Stillwell –

how has written textbooks for other surgeons on the best

methods and procedures to get the patient back on his or her

feet, as quickly as possible.

Now Dr. Bill has put together a lay man’s book (as well as a course)

on how you can eliminate knee pain without surgery.

You’ve got to check this out. If not for yourself – then take a look

for a loved one.

Go to http://drbillsclinic.com

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. I call Dr. Bill the Maxwell Maltz of orthopedic surgery. He is a

true healer – an optimist beyond compare – who truly knows how

to get the best out of life – and give you the BEST advice about

any orthopedic issues you may be having. Go check him out NOW.

3 Ways to Grow Younger

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

I just finished six days of seminars and coaching and

am feeling good. Many people wondered how I could

keep myself at such a high level of performance for

six straight days.

And many people who had not seen me in a few months

marvelled at how much younger I looked.

The reasons are many. I do many, many things that

contribute to how I look and feel.

But if I were to narrow it down to the three most important

things, they would be as follows:

1. I spend time every morning and every night doing Theatre

of the Mind exercises from Zero Resistance Living –

http://psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html – These exercises

literally bring light and energy to everything I do.

2. I practice “Dao Zou” – a little known eastern form of backward

training combined with meditation. And it truly boggles the mind

how this simple exercise – when combined with proper breathing

and mental picturing – will rewire and rewind your mind and body.

You turn back the clock, physically and mentally. You become

younger in heart, in spirit and in terms of what you can do with

your physical body. I’ve been training this way for a couple years

now – and the positive effects have been HUGE. You can read more

at http://mattfurey.com/dao_zou.html

3. I do the Combat Conditioning exercises as spelled out in my

best-seller – especially those that comprise the Royal Court:

Hindu squats, Hindu pushups and bridging. Theese exercises

simultaneously increase strength, endurance and flexibility –

and they do it fast. Be sure to take a look at all the goodies you

receive when you order – http://mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

Well, my friend, that’s all for now. I’ll be back shortly with more.

Matt Furey

P.S. I’ll be putting out the word for my 2008 Fitness Seminar

very soon. Stay tuned.

Getting to the Top

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

From my journal,

“You don’t get to the top by staring at the bottom.”

Matthew Furey

http://www.psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html

Quick Notes for Today:

Last night I finished six straight days of teaching

and training. First with my Zero Resistance Internet Marketing

seminar – followed by MasterMind and Psycho-Cybernetics meetings.

Twas amazing to see all the profound breakthroughs taking place.

Faces of frustration were replaced with confident, courageous

countenances. Fear and worry were replaced with empowering mental

pictures. Arrogance was replaced with humility and compassion. No

one left these events unchanged.

I’ll be releasing more details about my coaching programs for 2008

very soon. So be ready to jump when I make the announcement.

In the interim, be sure to dive in and begin living the Zero Resistance

Lifestyle in your personal and professional life. The beneftis exceed

anything you can currently imagine.

I Had No Idea This Would Happen

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

From my journal:

“When I first began to train in reverse, I did so

because it relaxed and energized me at a

deeper level than anything else. After a couple

weeks I noticed my memory getting much sharper.

So much so that I began to recall things from very

early childhood that I’d forgotten. Then when I

added the “chi” to what I was doing, along with

youthful visualizations, an energetic shift took place.

People began to guess I was in my early 30’s – and

when I revealed my true age they accused me of

lying. At first I thought people were joking – but

over the last two months I’ve realized they weren’t.”

Matthew Furey

Note: The Dao Zou program is far more than a train-

in-reverse system. It is a complete mind/body program

that cannot be beat. Those who simply train in reverse

will only get about 1% of the benefits of those who learn

the entire program – including circulation of chi – mental

imagery and opening of the body’s energy centers. Go to

http://mattfurey.com/dao_zou.html – order the program,

use it and begin to feel an almost immediate change in how you

feel.

No Reason for Happiness

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

From my journal:

“When you feel happy for no external reason – you’ve

entered the Kingdom of Heaven within. Happiness does

not come from what you have or what you’ve done. It

comes from seeing ‘the face’ of happiness in your own

mind.”

Matthew Furey

Note: Want more happiness, peace of mind and winning

feelings – for no particular reason. Then slide on over to

http://psycho-cybernetics.com/zrlcourse.html and order the course that will reveal the secrets to you.
